Catwoman: The Animated Series The Joker

for the Joker, i didnt really have anything in mind for his character or design. I dont ever see Catwoman taking on the Joker by herself, i see her interaction with him being from the group of villains getting together, or him going after her to get at Batman.

i soon as i sketched some Joker faces, i thought what i came up with was too cartoony and silly. so i put them away, and later came back to them, and i was reminded of the Spectacular Spider man series, and how i remember seeing the Goblin and thinking, oh, he's design is lame. but later in the episode featuring him, i couldnt help but think that his character was actually kinda scary, and 100% of that was do to his voice. thats the good thing with animation, you dont rely on just the drawing to create a character, but also their voice. so while i feel my design is sorta campy, i think the "scary" feeling i want for him could still be achieved with a good voice actor.
and it got me thinking, him looking like a silly clown, but being a crazy scary murder is actually what the character of the joker is all about.
