#1 The Wicked Witch of the West, played by Margaret Hamilton in the classic film The Wizard of Oz. Hollywood’s first and most famous live action witch, and one of the most iconic and recolonized characters of all time. She is to blame for my love affair with great villains and strong female characters. She paved the way, and created the famous green skin that most witches have sported over the years. She was terrifying and powerful, and all she really wanted was her sister’s shoes back, back from some little brat you stole them after killing her.
